What’s The Deal?

WPress’d was set up off the back of a WooThemes competition giving away this very domain, though the idea was formed well before then. It’s essentially a digg-type site, but exclusively for Wordpress content. Rather than subscribing to 20 Wordpress blogs you can just subscribe to this one and get all the best content delivered straight to your feed reader.

It’s still very very much in Beta mode, and going with the 37 Signals philosophy of “release early and often”. I thought that I could wait and launch with a flashy new skin, and logo - but if I’d done that we’d probably still be here next year.. waiting. So off to the races we go, let’s get some users in here and then improve the site as we go.

This is a fairly big project and anyone who knows anything about Pligg would be a welcome addition. If you’d like to know more about what’s planned for the coming months then head on over to the launch post and leave a comment if you’d like to get involved.

Where’s The Advertising? I like Advertising!

Sorry, this site is going to be completely add free while it’s in Beta mode, you’ll just have to make do without any fancy banner adverts distracting you from all our lovely content. Don’t worry though, once the site is launched “officially” then you’ll have some pretty banners and WooThemes ads to look at.

Go and have a look at all the wonderful Wordpress content on the homepage! If that doesnt strike your fancy you can check out the upcoming category, and if you still don’t see anything that interests you then help us build up quality content by sumbitting something that you think every Wordpress designer should read or know about!

And most importantly - subscribe to the feed to get all the top stories delivered straight to your feed reader!
